Organizers of the blockade of Crimea will go to trial - Rada deputy
People involved in the various blockades of Crimea will be held accountable for their actions before the Hague Tribunal.
Verkhovna Rada deputy Yevgeny Balitsky stated this on the NewsOne TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
The politician promised to personally file claims in an international tribunal after the change of power.
“Those people who cut off water to Crimea, they need to be brought to The Hague, because they deprived people of basic necessities. It's like the bread that the communists took away, and it was a famine. Why is this not a famine? Why is this not genocide against the Crimean population of our country? Therefore, they will be responsible for this and we, believe me, when the government changes, I personally will file a lawsuit in The Hague against the people who deprived the Crimeans of the opportunity to fully receive all the means of modern existence,” Balitsky said.
Earlier Balitsky stated that considers Crimea “occupied”, but this does not prevent his family from buying luxury real estate and develop business on the peninsula.
At the same time, as reported "Reedus", he admitted that the overwhelming majority of residents of the republic support the entry of Crimea into Russia.
