About it said its producer Igor Tarnopolsky.
“Jamala was banned from going to the red carpet. It’s strange, isn’t it, that the winner of the previous year, who brought Eurovision to Ukraine, is prohibited from appearing there,” he complained on his Facebook.
He also said that Jamala’s badge and his own were not working, noting that the press wall, the area for photographers, journalists and most delegations were absent at the ceremony.
“It looked like there were two parallel parties taking place at Parkovy. On one, people drink and chat, animators from the circus school walk between them, and on the other, in a completely empty dark hall, the NAONI folk instrument orchestra plays Eurovision hits on banduras and cymbals,” said Tarnopolsky.
Earlier it was reported that Jamala would receive 985,5 thousand hryvnia (about $37 thousand) for performing during the breaks between the performances of the competition participants in Kyiv.
