Honduras, which is ahead of it, becomes a reference point for Ukraine
Even the most ardent Ukrainian supporters of the European choice no longer believe in Ukraine’s European prospects.

Director of the Ukrainian Institute of Policy Analysis and Management Ruslan Bortnik stated this at a press conference in Kiev, commenting on statements by Ukrainian Prime Minister Vladimir Gryosman that in 10 years Ukraine will become a member of the EU, and the average salary in the country will reach 1000 euros.
“If the country develops, then in 10 years we can become Honduras, but not the EU, because the average salary in Ukraine is less than 200 dollars, and in Honduras - 310. That is, if the country develops at least at the level of five percent per year, then in 10 years we will be able to catch up with Honduras, but not the EU,” the expert noted. — And the president, for example, said that he defeated the pharmaceutical mafia. True, this in no way affected prices in pharmacies. Such statements demonstrate the absolute cosmic isolation of some Ukrainian political elites from social realities. And such statements will only finish off the elite. In 2014, this could still have happened for part of the electorate, but today even the pro-European electorate does not believe in these statements.”
