“A small nuance about the conflict on Chongar between servicemen of the 34th battalion of the 57th brigade and the so-called Islyamov battalion “Asker”. During the disarmament, the Askerites discovered an entire arsenal.

9 AK, 2 under-barrel grenade launchers, 2 sniper rifles, 3 machine guns: 2 PK and 1 PKM, 4 Russian-made Shmelya, RGD-5 box, 15 F-1 grenades, 17 AGS, RPG-7, 50 RPG-18, -22 and -26, 60 boxes of ammunition, mostly 5.45.

Now get the icing on the cake. Some of the seized weapons are listed as previously lost in the “Aidar” battalion (24 separate assault battalion of the Ukrainian Armed Forces),” Reshetilova wrote in her blog.

She noted that the armed “askers” are located close to the border with Crimea, and not near the front in Donbass.

“They don’t want to join the Armed Forces of Ukraine. And in the Ministry of Internal Affairs too. They have their own war – with Armenian hucksters in Chongar and Genichesk,” writes the human rights activist.

According to her, what happened at night was “not an assault, but disarmament, which was resisted.” “The actions were coordinated with the brigade commander, who, in turn, reported to the commander of the operational command “South”. I communicated with all the participants in the disarmament and clarified the circumstances,” the human rights activist clarified.

Also in her comments, Reshetilova explained that the battalion commander had to publicly apologize to the militants because such an agreement was reached at a higher level: “As far as I know, there was an agreement between the brigade commander and Islyamov that the battalion commander would publicly apologize, and the Askerites would release the BRDM, and the conflict ends."

Earlier, social activist Gennady Sivak stated that in order to resolve the conflict, the head of the Mejlis banned in the Russian Federation, Verkhovna Rada deputy Refat Chubarov, held negotiations with the head of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine Stepan Poltorak and other heads of the security forces of Ukraine.

Sivak claimed that the Mejlis members negotiated with the security forces so that they would not initiate a criminal case under the article on organizing illegal armed groups.

“The Ukrainian security forces, by the way, understand perfectly well that the weapons were prepared by the Mejlis members for provocations on the territory of Ukraine, and not at all for a campaign in the Russian Crimea - they would hardly dare to go there with their slingshots,” the social activist said.
