Sevastopol, June 01 (Navigator, Egor Kagorov) – A rally in support of the South-East of Ukraine took place in Sevastopol on Sunday evening. Despite the city authorities’ ban on holding mass rallies until June 6, the rally on Nakhimov Square attracted about 300 people. The police were present, but did not interfere with the protest.
Participants unfurled Russian tricolors, banners “For Russia and Freedom!”, DPR flags, banners with the words: “Let’s save the children of Donbass!”

“We are ready to accept women and children from Novorossiya, but combat-ready men must fight for the freedom of the land that has always belonged to Russia,” said social activist Vladimir Tyunin.
“We will help our brothers from Donetsk and Lugansk. But you need to understand that unhappy women and children are one thing, men who come here and, citing the political situation, demand apartments and registration here are another. Such speculation is unacceptable. Sevastopol and Crimea are still poor areas. However, we are collecting medicines and humanitarian aid for our brothers from Slavyansk and Kramatorsk. There is no need to play on people's feelings. Men of Novorossiya, behave honestly, defend your land!” – said the leader of the “Russian Community of Sevastopol” Tatyana Ermakova.
The head of the public organization “Self-Defense of Sevastopol” Oleg Roslyakov said that, according to his data, at least 500 people from Sevastopol are currently in the Donbass among the militias.
“People in the South-East of Ukraine are defending not only their homes, but also Crimea and all of Russia. We must support them. At the moment, 3 tons of medicines have been collected. Only 100 kilograms were transported - the border guards are working in intensive mode. But we will find a way to convey this to our comrades. After this, the collection will be resumed,” Roslyakov explained.
At the end of the rally, Cossack ataman Anatoly Mareta called on all like-minded people to train more often.
“If someone has a paintball weapon, a traumatic weapon, or a firearm, go out into the countryside where you can train. As for myself, I’ll say this: if I don’t go there (South-Eastern Ukraine) now, then I won’t have the right to wear my uniform and awards,” Mareta said.
