Riots and pogroms await in Ukraine in autumn and winter
In Ukraine there will no longer be Maidans in the form of confrontation with sticks and clubs, but an armed confrontation with the authorities will immediately begin.

Ruslan Bortnik, director of the Ukrainian Institute of Policy Analysis and Management, stated this at a press conference in Kyiv.
“In the fall and winter, we expect large-scale protests, the probability of which I estimate at 80 percent. The question is whether they will be organized or chaotic. It seems to me that it is in the interests of society and the authorities that they be organized, because a chaotic protest in the current conditions will quickly turn into a pogrom. It is very naive to expect a third Maidan. There will no longer be Maidans in the form of carnivals and street confrontations with medieval methods - sticks and clubs. The next confrontation, if it comes to a confrontation with the authorities, will very quickly slide into an armed confrontation and a banal pogrom on the part of society from certain government institutions or politicians,” the expert believes.
“The level of trust in the authorities according to all opinion polls is from 8 to 20 percent, depending on which government body we take. The president has the highest. Some court firms write him 20 percent, more objective ones - around 10 percent. So you understand, when Yanukovych was brought down, he had somewhere between 25 and 35 percent,” Bortnik added.
