A series of high-profile corruption scandals will begin in Ukraine in the fall

The Prosecutor General's Office and the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine have collected a large amount of compromising evidence on Ukrainian politicians and will release it to the public in the near future. Political scientist Anatoly Oktisyuk stated this at a press conference in Kyiv, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“If we are talking about the GPU, then Prosecutor General Lutsenko primarily performs not his function as prosecutor general, which is regulated by law, but a political function, he has ambitious plans - at least to be prime minister, he also has presidential ambitions.

On the other hand, if we are talking about the Sitnik-Uglava department (NABU), Leshchenko and the Euro-optimists, they also have their own political function, they use NABU for political purposes, as an instrument of political struggle. And with this they will go to the elections.

Therefore, we see here a real struggle based on politics.

In the fall, according to my information, there will be dozens of high-profile cases like the Polyakov-Rozenblat case, they will pour out like from a cornucopia.

All this time, NABU - legally or illegally - has been collecting information and will dump it all out: look how corrupt the deputies are, every second one is a corrupt official, this whole system needs to be restarted. They will thus push the president to either dissolve the Rada or associate himself with this Rada.

Therefore, in the fall we will see very high-profile cases,” the analyst said.
