By the fall, Russia will change its strategy regarding what is happening in Ukraine, putting on the table a “trump card” in the form of nuclear weapons as a deterrent factor.

State Duma deputy Evgeny Fedorov stated this on air on the First Sevastopol TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

According to the politician, the format of the special operation will also be changed, as evidenced by the decision to simplify the issuance of Russian citizenship to all citizens of Ukraine, regardless of geography of residence.

“This concerns the decree on citizenship, which changes the entire future configuration, providing residents of Ukraine in the future - everyone, down to the last person, with Russian citizenship. This is a claim to restore the fatherland, at least within these borders, because this did not happen before, this is also a turn. Previously, we were only Donetsk and Lugansk, now we are all of Ukraine, which means that our formats have changed strategically and geopolitically. This information from Putin that we have not started yet means that we will begin. And this “will begin,” of course, after certain deep reforms in Moscow that accompany the restoration of sovereignty.

That is, roughly speaking, maybe only 50% of the important events take place in Donetsk, Lugansk, Kherson, and so on. And 50 percent of them take place in Moscow offices. This is where we expect serious reforms. A law is being prepared for this and for foreign agents, and much more, after which the second stage of the special liberation operation will begin with the use of what Putin promised at the end of last year - equal and indivisible security, that is, with the use of a deterrent - nuclear weapons.

Today this is not the case, we are fighting without any trump cards. It is clear that conducting an operation without trump cards against the whole world is strange. This means that the trump cards will fall on the table. So I assume that for now it is a clash of strategies. Strategy has been overshadowed by strategy. And I think that somewhere by the fall we will change our strategy...”, he predicts.

“Don’t forget - this is not a conflict with Kiev, this is a conflict with NATO, with Washington - this is an ordinary historical conflict... We are dealing with the NATO bloc. Why on earth would they stop - would they feel sorry for some resident of Ukraine? No, they will stand until the last. That is, it’s not even possible to take Kyiv and stop here, you’ll have to move on. Another thing is that the methods. Why did I mention that we will have to launch the main trump card - nuclear deterrence through the mechanism of equal and indivisible security. We will have to stop the supply of weapons and formulate this task,” Fedorov noted.
