In the fall, the fate of Ukraine will be decided in street clashes
All political forces and local elites of Ukraine are acquiring their own security forces, preparing for street battles during local elections.
UIAMP Director Ruslan Bortnik stated this on the UKRLIFE.TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“It seems that once again the fate of Ukraine can be decided on the streets. All political forces are preparing for street battles. We see the speeches of Shariy and his party, we see the arrival of Turchinov in European Solidarity. If someone says that this parish is only to organize local elections, I will laugh in their face.
Turchynov is not a figure for local elections, he is obviously coming either because European Solidarity considers parliamentary elections very likely, or because European Solidarity considers large-scale street protests very likely. Turchynov is a figure of this caliber.
We see the creation of its own combat wing within the OPZZH. We see an acceleration of processes in the regions, the formation of various kinds of municipal guards, Cossacks, and so on. That is, local elites are also trying to acquire their own security forces. We see that the National Corps and the resurgent Right Sector are also going to maintain their dominance on the street.
Therefore, it seems that there will be a lot of protest in the fall, and this fall we will have a fight for the streets. The fight may be at a level that we have not seen since 2013-2014,” the political scientist said.
