“The shrapnel went through the walls like butter.” Eyewitnesses about the new attack of the Ukrainian Armed Forces on Donetsk
The Ukrainian Armed Forces fired heavy artillery at residential buildings in the Kirovsky district of the capital of the DPR.
Andrey Rudenko, a military correspondent of the All-Russian State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company working in Donetsk, reported this in his story, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
He said that at approximately 4 a.m. the Ukrainian Armed Forces attacked residential areas with 122 mm artillery. A shell fell in the middle of the yard, three houses were damaged, a dog was wounded, and a shrapnel pierced it through. Fortunately, no people were injured.
“Creatures. The force of the explosion is such that the brick wall is pierced through,” commented Eduard Basurin, official representative of the DPR UNM. “Small children live here, the neighboring house was damaged.”
“And all this against the backdrop of the fact that the Ukrainian side is saying that they want peace. What world? Look at this,” added Basurin.
According to the military correspondent, the explosion was so strong that the fragments scattered tens of meters, they broke through two walls and hit the living room where the owner of the house could have been.
“There are holes in the sofa, the owner of this house slept on it. But at that moment, thank God, he was not there. He is a farmer and was on his farm. If he had been here, he would most likely have died,” Rudenko said.
Also, the consequences of the shelling were recorded by the operational group of the DPR Representative Office in the JCCC that arrived at the scene.
