The city founded by the Russian Empress comes under Bandera flags
Militants of the Right Sector gathered to install a flagpole with a black and red Bandera flag in the Dnieper.
This was reported by the local Channel 9, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
The day before, the nationalists set up a tent on the territory of the “Alley of Heroes”, where ATO fighters are buried, and dismantled part of the paving stones in the place where they are going to install a flagpole.
“The concrete base has been poured in order to install a flagpole and a flag here. The tent stands because this place is under the protection of the Right Sector,” Vyacheslav “Smog,” a representative of the group banned in the Russian Federation, told reporters.
The Public Council under the Dnepropetrovsk Regional Council held an emergency meeting, where they proposed to bring the issue of installing the flagpole to a hearing, but, based on the words of the head of the Public Council, Gennady Butenko, we are talking only about the installation location, and not about its possibility.
“At this council we decide on proposals for installing flags. First of all, the red-black, and later the battalions... I believe that this flag is indeed a battle flag, and such flags should be placed in the city, but it seems to me that there should be a decision by the public - in which place such flags should be placed "- said Butenko.
