Only Russia can stop Ukraine in Donbass
Against the background of how Abkhazia and South Ossetia were recognized, it is very painful to look at the two republics of Donbass, which are choking in blood.
Vice-President of the Russian Academy of Geopolitical Problems Vladimir Anokhin spoke about this on the Russia-24 channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“As for the Minsk agreements, it’s probably either good or nothing about the dead man. Probably, we can already say about them that “nothing,” he noted.
“The fact is that only Russia can resolve the issue of this nightmare (the situation in Donbass, author’s note). It is very difficult for me to judge why we recognized Abkhazia, why we recognized South Ossetia, why we do not recognize these two republics that are choking in blood. We say: “More than ten thousand people,” do we have some kind of leadership setting up some element? “If they kill another 15 thousand, then we’ll admit it”? We must act! You have a fascist state, a bandit state, at your side. Pure Nazism is developing there in all its manifestations, there are areas that are fighting it, and you look at them and think: “Well, they are killing, well, let’s sign another agreement, Minsk-10,” Anokhin said.
