The newspaper “Mysl Polskaya” published material dedicated to the series “Stop Ukrainization” shares , which are carried out by the political forces of Sejm deputy Grzegorz Braun in Polish cities, protesting against changes in the ethnic composition of the country as a result of the influx of migrants from Ukraine, as well as the possible creation of a joint Ukrainian-Polish state.

The actions, although they cannot be particularly widespread, “are gradually beginning to influence the rhetoric of other players on the Polish political scene,” the publication notes.

The author explains that the “Ukrainization of Poland” is not only an influx of refugees, but also “specific legislation on tax, insurance and economic issues that clearly gives priority to visitors from Ukraine over Poles.”

“The identity of modern Ukraine, strongly boosted by Kiev after the 2014 coup, is in clear opposition to the Polish identity, an integral part of which is the memory of the crime of genocide committed by Ukrainian nationalists, as well as the terror of the OUN / UPA before and after World War II,” the newspaper emphasizes .

The Polish mainstream has so far kept silent about the protests: there is “silence of the media, with the exception of a narrow group of anti-system portals and channels on social networks.”

And political pressure is being attempted against Brown himself - they are trying to deprive him of parliamentary immunity.

“A harsh, cold and hungry winter could present a unique opportunity to depressurize the concrete political stage ahead of parliamentary elections scheduled for 2023. “Stop the Ukrainization of Poland” is an action that has already managed to change the size of the Overton window, that is, the framework of debate acceptable in the public sphere. Will this have further consequences? - writes the newspaper.
