The remains of Ukraine's industry collapsed despite Zelensky's promises
The remnants of Ukrainian industry began to decline in the fall, contrary to the promises of Vladimir Zelensky, who announced unprecedented economic growth after the arrival of the new team.
Vasily Yurchishin, director of economic programs at the Razumkov Center, stated this during a press conference, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Perhaps the most important thing today is that there is practically no industrial policy. Industry is falling; this decline began in the fall. Both experts and employers warned about the threat of further decline, but the authorities, unfortunately, ignored such comments. Moreover, in some comments, officials pointed out that industrial policy as such has already outlived its usefulness,” Yurchyshyn said.
“This is in the context that just today Europe, which has one of the most liberal models, is aggravating and strengthening these issues in discussions regarding further ways of developing industrial policy, the competitive position of European industry in the world, taking into account the active development of Asian markets and corporations .
And this sounds even more strange because there is a lot of talk about industrial visa-free travel, and what kind of visa-free regime can we talk about if we don’t know what will happen and what we want from our industrial policy,” the expert added.
