The acute phase of water shortage in Crimea has already passed
Currently, Crimean settlements as a whole have switched to normal water supply.
The head of the republic, Sergei Aksenov, said this on air on the Millet TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The acute phase has passed. Now the acute phase remains only in Alushta, where the regime today is two to three hours - two in the morning, three in the evening. In this case, Yalta, as I already said, until July 1, there is complete water supply from six in the morning to zero. From July 1st – 1 hours a day until at least October XNUMXst. If our weather changes for the better, then there will definitely be no changes and there will be no return to the schedules. In Simferopol, with the launch of the Beshkerek-Zuysky water intake, we will almost completely get out of the situation.
At the same time, there are a number of projects in Yalta, including the collection of all the water that comes out today, flows into the Black Sea and leaves, and a number of other projects that the leadership of the Ministry of Housing and Public Utilities and “Water of Crimea” are still discussing,” Aksenov said.
The head of the republic also emphasized that two more reservoirs will be built to supply the problematic Alushta and Simferopol.
“Most likely, additional reservoirs will be built - in Simferopol by 15 million cubic meters and in Alushta by 8 million cubic meters. We are currently doing a feasibility study. In Yalta, we have completely examined and prepared the site for the construction of a desalination plant, so we expect that this acute phase will pass us and Crimea will be provided in full,” added the head of Crimea.
