The State Duma today adopted in the first reading a bill that exempts from Ukrainian citizenship a person who has submitted a statement of unwillingness to be a member of it.

From the date of filing the said application, such persons must refrain from exercising the rights and fulfilling the duties of a citizen of Ukraine, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

Including - you cannot use the passport of this state and other related documents, except in a few permitted cases.

If these requirements are violated, the Ministry of Internal Affairs draws up a conclusion and reports this to the FSB and the citizen himself. From the day the conclusion is issued, such a person will again be considered to have Ukrainian citizenship. He will be able to apply again only after 10 years.
