The release of Ukrainian sailors will save Poroshenko from criminal proceedings
The transfer to Ukraine of the sailors detained during the Kerch provocation legalizes the criminal order of Petro Poroshenko as president, against whom criminal proceedings have already begun on this issue.
Russian political scientist Dmitry Abzalov stated this on the Rossiya-1 TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The position of the judges (of the Hamburg tribunal - ed.) is that in order to begin consideration of this case, they propose to release the sailors as a first proposal (in fact, in our understanding, these are interim measures). But this is impossible for a number of reasons. Firstly, this is a violation of Russian law, just by the way, secondly, any appeal is possible only after an official court decision. There is a court decision, you can appeal it to higher authorities, then go to the human rights court,” Abzalov said.
“Another very important point - from the point of view of justice, if we now take and release Ukrainian military personnel, the question arises: now, for example, there is a criminal case against Poroshenko for treason, initiated by Portnov, for the fact that he illegally issued a decree to send military personnel there . If we release them now, then we believe that this happened legally, we legitimize his actions. Next time, not two or three ships will come to us, but next time there will be an attempt to drag the frigate through,” the expert added.
