The liberated Kherson region is restoring the energy bridge with Crimea
The Kherson region will restore power lines on the border with Crimea, blown up in 2015 during the energy blockade of the peninsula. In the event of a power supply interruption from Ukraine, the lines will be switched to Crimea.
The PolitNavigator correspondent reports this, said the deputy head of the military-civil administration of the Kherson region, Kirill Stremousov.
“This is a strategically important format. Now we have proposed that all residents of the Kherson region not pay electricity bills to Ukrainian offshore banks, which withdraw funds and use them to finance the terrorist activities of certain structures and elements. We are now saying that this process is under control, and if there is a sudden disconnection of networks from the territory of Ukraine, we will smoothly switch to reconnection with Crimea,” said a representative of the military administration of the Kherson region.
He added that the same plan has been developed for switching to the Crimean gas supply system. As for water supply, the North Crimean Canal has been taken under control, and Dnieper water flows without problems. The railway connection has already been established, but is now used for the delivery of military cargo.
“Passenger service will be restored, it’s a matter of time. After the liberation of Nikolaev and Odessa from the fascist elements in power,” Stremousov assured.
By the end of May, a Russian bank will open in the Kherson region, and in the future it is planned to completely abandon the use of hryvnia and switch to rubles.
