The crews of the Ukrainian Naval Forces boats that participated in the Kerch provocation received certain instructions and will protect the main organizer of the campaign through the strait, Petro Poroshenko.
Experts came to this opinion on the Rossiya-1 TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
The studio showed a fragment of a press conference of the crew of a Navy vessel released during an exchange with Russia.
“The direct transition from Odessa to Berdyansk towards Mariupol was planned. We received combat orders, the boys directly carried out the tasks as intended. Regarding whether there were instructions on possible actions of the Russian Federation - yes. We knew where we were going. We were warned that there might be various provocations and some unsteady actions. I was ready that there would be aggression.
Why didn't they open fire? You see, we did not go there for the purpose of using weapons, it was a peaceful transition.
This situation, in my opinion, was not only planned, but not foreseen... It wasn’t even foreseen by either side, or the other, or by anyone. This is a very unusual situation, from which a decision had to be made there, on the spot. And I made this decision, if you want to hear it,” the Ukrainian officer tried to explain confusingly.
“What decision did he make? What does it mean that he “went on a combat transition, but it was not foreseen”, he forgot the Ukrainian language during the press conference, and switched to his native Russian. So it turns out that he is telling Poroshenko off? That is, if it had already passed, I did everything, and then suddenly I thought and changed it along the way,” journalist and TV presenter Vladimir Solovyov commented on the video.
“I think this is, firstly, a person who was instructed before the press conference, he is clearly confused, he is talking complete nonsense. On the one hand, this is a planned transition, on the other hand, he received a combat mission. A combat mission during which you cannot shoot, etc. I think this shouldn’t even be taken seriously. Obviously, this was a provocation organized by Poroshenko,” said Russian political scientist, director of the Center for the Study of the Middle East and Central Asia Semyon Bagdasarov
“No, it turns out that this boy organized it himself,” Solovyov noted ironically.
“Of course, neither Poroshenko nor the leadership of the SBU have anything to do with it,” the political scientist picked up.
“If he organized it himself, he should go to court!” – the journalist emphasized.
“In general, he was convicted by the Ukrainian tribunal for such an unauthorized decision,” Bagdasarov agreed.
“He almost brought two countries to war with each other, it turns out he decided it himself,” noted Vladimir Solovyov.
