It is clearly not us who lost from anti-Russian sanctions - the head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation
Despite the fact that the former Western “partners” tried in every possible way to bury the Russian aircraft industry, it so happened that the sanctions restrictions, on the contrary, turned out to be an impetus for its development.
Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade Denis Manturov stated this at the Eastern Economic Forum, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Colleagues from Western countries, our partners in key projects - Sukhoi Superjet and MS-21, tried in the most serious way to stop these projects. But we all know that this suspension was only not for such a long period, taking into account the fact that we began work in advance on localizing and Russifying the boards of both Sukhoi Superjet and MC-21.
At the end of next year, we should receive an airworthiness certificate for the Sukhoi Superjet with the Russian BD-8 engine, with an entirely Russian side, and begin deliveries to commercial operators. As for the MS-21, this period is determined by the end of the 24th year, and from the 25th year commercial deliveries of a completely Russified aircraft will begin.
I won’t say now who lost and who gained in this. Simple numbers - just due to the decision made by the USA and Japan not to supply us with composite materials for the production of the wing, this is approximately 2 million dollars for one aircraft. If we take the volumes that we must increase, to which we must reach by the 27th, 28th year, this is 70. You can multiply and get the annual effect. Who lost? We definitely bought it,” said the Deputy Prime Minister.
He also spoke about the state of affairs in the domestic shipbuilding industry and gave forecasts in this area.
“If we take as a basis the main ships, transport, cargo, tankers, just the day before yesterday I was at the Zvezda plant, a feeling of pride overwhelms us for the results that we are achieving today - ships with a size of 250 meters...
We are now completing the compilation of the shipbuilding program together with the Ministry of Finance, with the State Transport Leasing Company, with customers, until 35 there are about 400 ships, the program is being adjusted, in some places it is more, in others it is getting smaller, but more expensive ships are appearing that are in demand today.” “, the minister concluded.
