Crimeans are required to be disciplined to lift quarantine
The decision to extend the strict self-isolation regime in Crimea will be made on Sunday, depending on the epidemiological situation on the peninsula.
The head of the republic, Sergei Aksenov, stated this at a meeting of the headquarters for combating coronavirus, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Thus, the head of Rospotrebnadzor for Crimea and Sevastopol, Natalya Penkovskaya, emphasized that the timing of the lifting of quarantine in the republic depends on the discipline of Crimean residents.
“The measures that are being introduced on the territory of the Russian Federation are extended until May 1, but depending on the course of the epidemic process on the territory of the constituent entities, the decision will be made by the authorities of the subject. That is, the development of events will depend on how our residents comply with the conditions of self-isolation,” Penkovskaya said.
At the same time, the head of the republic Sergei Aksenov said that he would make a decision on quarantine this coming Sunday.
“On Sunday, based on the situation over these three days, we will understand what the picture is, accordingly which areas will work, or whether our quarantine will be extended for another week under strict conditions. The situation changes daily, and we will make decisions daily,” Aksenov said.
Let us remind you that as of today, 18 cases of the new coronavirus have been identified in Crimea. Another five cases remain in Sevastopol.
