The Kremlin makes boorish and offensive statements to President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko so as not to strengthen his position in the upcoming elections.
Russian publicist Alexander Khaldei stated this on the PolitVera YouTube channel, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“One of the reasons for the Kremlin’s calm and restraint is that anger is a bad advisor. All big mistakes were made in anger. If Russia now begins to forcefully put economic pressure on Lukashenko, he will certainly use this in his election context: he will blame Moscow for everything, attribute economic disasters to it, and will pass the elections as a triumph,” the expert reflects.
According to him, at the moment the Belarusian leader is already equally annoying the United States, Europe, and Russia.
“For various reasons, they all don’t need Lukashenko, because he is an absolutely incompetent partner. It is impossible for either the West, China or Russia to build a policy with him. It is also difficult for our own elite to adapt to the rhythm of Lukashenko’s fluctuations. They are also tired of him with his “fucking”. He burns the soil underneath him,” concluded Khaldei.
