From young to old: Lukashenko ordered to arm the population
President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko ordered the establishment of ammunition production in the country in order to prepare for a possible war.
He stated this today after visiting the Ustye production and technical cluster, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Who guarantees that we will not fight? Neither you, nor I, nor anyone can guarantee. The world has completely gone crazy. War can break out at any moment, anywhere, God forbid, in our country. Territorial defense was created. It needs to be armed. We'll buy machine guns. We have thousands and thousands of these automatic weapons. And ammunition is a consumable item. You must have it,” Lukashenko said.
He recalled the importance of training the population in the use of small arms.
“Why not attract students and others and teach them how to use small arms - assemble and disassemble a machine gun, shoot? So that they know how to use it and so that they don’t have to train on the battlefield in difficult times,” Lukashenko said.
