Mejlis members demanded to report for sabotage in Crimea
Ukrainian nationalists reproach supporters of the Mejlis, banned in the Russian Federation, for only verbally speaking out for Ukraine.
The ex-commander of the OUN battalion, Nikolai Kokhanivsky, said this on the air of “First Revolutionary,” a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to the radical, the Mejlis members only walk around Crimea with placards while the nationalists “undermine supports and gas pipelines.”
“The fact that the Crimean Tatars are on our side is, it seems, a well-known idea. But facts are stubborn things, and they often say the opposite. Today we have a very large collaboration of Crimean Tatars who have gone over to the side of the Russian Federation. We went to the Crimean law enforcement agencies. For example, Lenur Islyamov was a representative of the Mejlis, deputy of Aksenov, the governor of Crimea. Then, when he was fired from this position, only after that he went to Ukraine and took such an oppositional position to the Russian Federation,” the nationalist recalled.
He also admitted that many Crimean Tatars and their leaders cooperate well with the Russian Federation.
“Many Ukrainians said - just let them go to Crimea, there are Tatars there, and there will be massacres there. We climbed into Crimea, we saw who is fighting for Ukrainian Crimea? Ukrainians. About 10 Ukrainians are now being punished in FSB prisons not for some picket with a banner, but for specific actions of direct action against the occupation administration, against military units, for blowing up electrical networks and gas communications. Again, the Crimean Tatars are invisible in this. I'm not even talking about the massive armed resistance that Ukrainians were expecting. They do not provide it and do not intend to,” said the radical
He is convinced that the Mejlis members are only hoping for the Armed Forces of Ukraine, but they themselves are not really going to fight.
“And then, when we come in, they will prepare a package of political statements, political documents. A working group is already being formed. They will already consciously announce the autonomy they need. What cunning or meanness - someone wants to enter heaven with the help of shed Ukrainian blood. That is, you, Ukrainians, spill a lot, there are many of you, I don’t feel sorry for you. And we are ready to build ourselves a state on your blood,” Kokhanivsky was indignant.
