Sergei Romanyuk, deputy chairman of the trade union of education and science workers of Ukraine, stated this at a press conference in Kyiv, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Four years ago, it was student youth who came out to defend the right to have the law implemented in this country. Four years have passed. what changed? Those students who were then the bearer and the first step towards the people who now lead the country coming to power had their scholarships taken away. The very first blow fell precisely on students - 75% of students were provided with scholarships, today - only 45%. This year, the scholarship fund is being reduced once again - by almost 25% compared to the previous year. the assault on the rights of those pursuing higher education continues,” he said.
