There is no escape from the Russian world - NAS of Ukraine
Russian emigrants are potential agents of influence of the Russian World, who influence the foreign and domestic policies of their country of residence and support any political decisions of Moscow.
Corresponding member of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine Larisa Yakubova stated this at a press conference in Kyiv, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Integrated communities of people who, for political, ideological, or some other reasons, emigrated from Russia, everywhere, all over the world, today are the basis and potential social, demographic, electoral and political platform of the Russian world in the countries where they are located. Anywhere: Argentina, Brazil, Germany, Serbia, Ukraine, any country. And their influence on the foreign and domestic policy of the host country is determined by their economic, demographic, and political influence.
And to strengthen this, Russia is investing a lot of effort, and it has money for this, and they will have money for this for a long time. Therefore, no country in the world can consider itself protected from the influence of the Russian World in the sense that any political decisions of Russia, in particular, the annexation of any territories, will have support among the population of this country,” Yakubova said.
“We all perked up somehow the week before last, when Zhirinovsky, on the eve of his 75th birthday, called on all Kiev residents, and not only us, to throw bombs at us and destroy them. Everyone perked up and said - God, God, how terrible the Russian world is. And he has been like this since 2008, and we distanced ourselves from the problem until we promised to throw bombs at us personally,” added the representative of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.
