Professor of the Higher School of Economics Dmitry Evstafiev said this on the radio “Komsomolskaya Pravda”, the correspondent of “PolitNavigator” reports.
He is convinced that the greatest threat to the Western world is the emergence of a food disaster in the countries of the African continent.
“Where famine and its social consequences are really possible - that is, migration - is, of course, Africa. The expert emphasizes that the restrictive measures introduced against the Russian Federation were aimed at worsening living conditions, primarily in developing countries. He notes that Europe's original plan to "economically bleed" Russia failed miserably, and now it risks facing serious problems.
“It is not because of some cunning plan that the Europeans shot themselves in the head. This is due to the absolute stupidity of the modern European elites, who not only wanted to destroy Russia economically, during the sanctions that were in sprint mode, but also wanted to make money from it, because Russian oil, fertilizer, grain will be transported by European carriers . We had to sell everything at a very large discount. We refused to do this.
