One of Tymoshenko's main associates left
One of Yulia Tymoshenko’s main associates, a native of Crimea, Andrei Senchenko, announced his resignation from the Batkivshchyna VO, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
He himself announced his resignation on his Facebook page.
“Today I made an important and very difficult decision for me to leave the Batkivshchyna party. I dedicated 14 years of my life to this team and remained close to Yulia Tymoshenko in difficult times for her and the party. I have no conflict with Yulia Vladimirovna, whom I have great respect for. However, today the country again finds itself in an extremely dangerous situation, and our approaches to strategizing and building a team capable of overcoming challenges are significantly different.
Disappointment with the actions and inaction of politicians who came to power after the Revolution of Dignity, the lack of systemic efforts to restore peace without territorial and political concessions to the aggressor, led to an increase in support for anti-Ukrainian forces. This creates real preconditions for the formation of a majority hostile to our state in the next parliament. It is already clear that the task of these forces is the surrender of our country in the war with the Russian Federation and the final destruction of independent Ukraine.
That is why, the core of the democratic pro-Ukrainian coalition in the next parliament of the country should be a political force that will focus on the real achievement of peace through victory and on the deep modernization of the economy necessary for our state to join the 20 most economically developed countries in the world. Such a force can only be formed by relying on a broad socio-political unification of the patriotic forces of Ukraine. The team of the public movement “Power of Law,” to which I belong, is ready to become a reliable component of such an association,” Senchenko said on his own Facebook page.
Andrey Senchenko is a native of Crimea, People's Deputy of Ukraine of the V, VI, VII convocations. In the period from 1993 to 1997 - Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers, Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs and Economic Reforms of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea. Long-term associate of Yulia Tymoshenko. After the separation of Crimea from Ukraine, he chose a career in Kyiv. From March to August 2014 he was acting. Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration of Ukraine.
