Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjártó announced this today in Budapest.

“Hungary cannot support Ukraine’s integration aspirations, so it vetoed the convening of the NATO-Ukraine commission in December,” said the head of the Hungarian Foreign Ministry, adding that it is not possible to bypass the Hungarian veto, since this requires a unanimous decision.

At the same time, he added that Hungary is not against consultations, but cannot agree with the infringement of the rights of the Hungarian national minority in Ukraine.

Szijjártó also expressed concern about the new initiatives of deputies of the Ukrainian parliament regarding language and citizenship.

Earlier, as PolitNavigator reported, Hungary promised to block Ukrainian initiatives on the international stage.
