The Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine sent a letter to the heads of regional education departments/administrations and all educational institutions demanding that they teach and communicate in educational institutions only in Ukrainian.

“During working hours, in educational institutions with instruction in the Ukrainian language, scientific and pedagogical workers, pedagogical workers and other personnel use the Ukrainian language, and in educational institutions with instruction in languages of national minorities, along with the Ukrainian language, the language in which the educational process is carried out is also used. in this establishment,” the ministry’s explanation says.
The Ministry of Education and Science also notes that educational institutions must ensure an increase in the level of proficiency in the state language of their scientific, pedagogical and teaching staff.
In addition, educational institutions are also recommended to actively involve children and youth in various educational and cultural events, within the framework of which to popularize the Ukrainian language in school, student and teaching environments.
