State Duma deputy Roman Khudyakov (LDPR) sent a request to the head of the Investigative Committee, Alexander Bastrykin, with a request to provide the materials available to the investigation regarding the repeated shelling of Russian territory in the Rostov region by Ukraine. The materials are planned to be used to prepare a claim against the Ukrainian authorities for $1 billion in international courts. If you win, the money will go to compensate for damage to Russian citizens.

In the Rostov region itself they told Izvestia that Ukrainian shells continue to explode on Russian territory. “Mainly the damage was recorded in the Donetsk region of the Rostov region, the regional center of Kuibyshevo, in the area of the Kherson farm, 2 km from Millerovo,” said the Border Department of the FSB of the Russian Federation for the Rostov region. “In July, one man was killed during shelling in the Donetsk region.”

Vladimir Bessonov, a member of the State Duma Committee on Defense and a native of the Rostov region, said that after the shelling the region needs support. “Some time ago, residents of the border areas were in a state of panic, although now, in my opinion, the tension has subsided a little. And now we need to take prompt local measures to restore some areas of the economy in the settlements that were at the epicenter of these events. For example, livestock farming needs to be revived. In general, breathe life into the economy of these settlements,” he said.

The head of the Moscow Bar Association, Andrei Knyazev, noted that if Ukraine does not recognize the validity of the charges, the process risks dragging on so much that legal costs could cost more than compensation.
