Why the nationalist made such an unexpected somersault and decided to defect to Poroshenko, whose regime in the Right Sector is called “internal occupation,” is unknown. It is worth noting that earlier, despite the patriotic rhetoric, in private conversations Mazur demonstrated his readiness to resolve issues in favor of representatives of the Yanukovych regime for money.
So, the year before last, a video made by a hidden camera appeared on the Internet, where Mazur agrees for 100 thousand dollars and promises to assist in curtailing the anti-police action “Vradievskaya Moda”.
After the scandal broke, Mauzr called the video a provocation and resigned from the post of head of the UNA and head of the Kiev city organization UNA-UNSO, but already during the Maidan he became the chief of staff of the Right Sector, and the post of head of the organization in the Kyiv region.
At one time, Mazur participated in the First Chechen War on the side of the separatists, and in the early 2000s he served three years in prison as one of the participants and organizers of mass riots during the “Ukraine without Kuchma” action. ATO participant.
