The so-called “anti-oligarchic” law does not stand up to criticism, contradicts the Constitution of Ukraine, violates human rights and is another step towards the destruction of the rule of law and the concentration of all power in the hands of the National Security and Defense Council.
This was stated at a press conference in Kyiv by lawyer Rostislav Kravets, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“We decided to come up with our own bicycle, a law on oligarchs. There is nothing to discuss there. I think that it is simply being used as a reason to remove the head of the Verkhovna Rada, who somehow does not follow the lead of all the chaos that is happening with the legislative field, can express his opinion, even object, which negatively affects the rating of the Servant of the People party. Plus, Razumkov has his own parallel political project.
Therefore, I think that here there is exclusively a struggle with Razumkov, and the law on oligarchs has become, in my opinion, only a reason for some further conversations. In fact, this law in its essence does not stand up to any criticism in any form.
On the same “Crimean Platform”, the representative of France compared it with the law banning Jews in the forties in France.Everyone understands that this is a violation of human rights, that this violates fundamental freedoms. I suspect that here the “servants of the people” simply want to blackmail some intractable comrades, on the one hand, to lower their energy and gas business. On the other hand, supposedly to earn some points, just as they like to earn points for their support from nationalist movements.
In fact, even ordinary citizens will become more indignant from such laws. This is another step towards ensuring that we don’t need power, we need the National Security and Defense Council, we need to create some kind of regional National Security and Defense Council, these regional National Security and Defense Councils will make decisions - who should get a divorce, who should divide the land, who should be given what, who will decide what... then a question about a loan and so on. These will be small regional NSDCs, but they can also be made regional.
Therefore, in my opinion, in this case we are not talking about oligarchs at all and not about this law, which has nothing in common - neither with the Constitution of Ukraine, nor with human rights,” said Rostislav Kravets.
