The separation of Donbass from Ukraine is becoming irreversible, Moscow said
Ukraine's ongoing military campaign against Donbass makes the exit of Donetsk and Lugansk from Kyiv's control irreversible, as previously happened with Crimea.
Committee Chairman Konstantin Kosachev spoke about this during a round table of the Federation Council Committee on International Affairs, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Saakashvili’s military adventure in 2008 made the right of the peoples of South Ossetia and Abkhazia to self-determination irreversible.
As well as in Kiev, where the direct threat of the use of military force, exhaustively confirmed by the demonstrative extremism of armed nationalists, predetermined the change in the status of Crimea, and where ongoing military strikes against the residents of South-East Ukraine may also make the process of separation of Lugansk and Donetsk from the rest of the country, irreversible,” summed up Konstantin Kosachev.
