Holidays in Crimea turned out to be more expensive than five-star Maldivian hotels
To make your holiday in Crimea comfortable, the situation with sewage, water supply and services needs to be resolved next year.
According to a PolitNavigator correspondent, Alexey Volkov, vice president and executive director of the National Union of the Hospitality Industry (OSIG), said this in an interview with Komsomolskaya Pravda.
He emphasized that this year, due to the pandemic, the number of vacationers has increased, but at the same time the price of vacation has increased due to high demand, and the service in 95% of cases remained at the same level, with the exception of some hotels and tour operators who pleased with innovations in service and hospitality.
“But the price has increased 2-3 times compared to last season. We were lucky that there were no complications with the water supply. But the situation with sewage is catastrophic - there have been no fundamental changes in 6 years, and the treatment facilities along the shore are outdated both physically and morally. If we offer a tourism product at the price of a five-star hotel in the UAE or in the Maldives, then we need to clearly explain where it comes from,” says Volkov.
At the same time, he pointed to positive changes in Crimea.
“The Tavrida highway opened on time; the journey from Novorossiysk to Sevastopol takes only 4,5 hours. And this is something amazing. Today, many people travel from the Krasnodar Territory to Crimea for the weekend. Of course, we need interchanges and exits to the sea to avoid traffic jams. But, one way or another, the growth of the tourist flow is associated precisely with road transport - 63% of tourists arrived in Crimea by car. “Simferopol” airport managed 5+, despite the peak load in some places...”, says the publication’s interlocutor.
He believes a number of measures should be taken in preparation for next season.
“We need to resolve issues with water, sewerage, personnel and service, because you can invite and invite guests as much as you like, but they come for the experience. New challenges will remain with us forever, and we need to prepare for a difficult 2021 season, but hope for the best. If the weather permits, there is the prospect of having a good season from April to November,” Volkov concluded.
As PolitNavigator reported, The rudeness of the Crimean hotelier outraged social networks.
