Ukraine's refusal to agree to elections in Donbass will be its political suicide
If Ukraine, in violation of the Minsk agreements, officially declares that it will not hold elections on the territory of the LDPR, then this will be its political suicide in the eyes of its Western partners.

Director of the Ukrainian Political Consulting Group Dmitry Razumkov stated this at a briefing in Kyiv, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“If Ukraine makes a statement that it will not hold elections in Donbass, since it is an occupied territory, then this will be political suicide of the Kyiv authorities. As soon as Kyiv makes such a statement, we will lose the support of the EU faster than this phrase is agreed upon. I think that the instinct of self-preservation will not allow Ukraine to present the law “On the reintegration of Donbass” as an indulgence in order not to fulfill the points that are prescribed in Minsk,” Razumkov believes.
