First, the video shows children shouting the Bandera greeting, and then volunteers and militants of the so-called ATO tell why using the Russian language is “dangerous.”

“I grew up in a Russian-speaking family. I switched to Ukrainian after the Maidan because I realized that speaking Ukrainian is one of the safeguards against Russian aggression,” says Alina Mikhailova, a volunteer of the SOS Army organization.

“As long as we speak the same language with them, they will consider that we are one people,” Vladimir Boychuk, a soldier of the National Guard of Ukraine, gives his argument.

“They will bring troops again and again to free us and annex us,” says another Ukrainian soldier.

“Our enemies do not hide that their weapon against Ukraine is Russification and directly state that where there is a Russian language, there is Russian interest,” assures another Ukrainian militant.

“Many Ukrainians would like to speak Ukrainian, but do not have the environment for this. Television is predominantly Russian-speaking, and so is the press. And the current legislation does not contribute to the development of the state language,” proves a fighter from the battalion named after Maidan. Kulchitsky Nina Prokopyeva.

“We can win on the front line, but lose another war - a war for our language, for our Ukrainianness. If you don’t want Russian troops to come to liberate you and your family, use your most powerful weapon against them: speak Ukrainian, switch to Ukrainian, demand from the authorities a decisive policy to protect and support the Ukrainian language. Remember, the Ukrainian language is the guarantee of our peace and our security,” Ukrainian agitators alternately summarize.
