The energy blockade of Crimea will lead to Ukraine losing another sales market. Energy market expert Dmitry Marunich stated this on the NewsOne TV channel.

According to him, Crimea is only increasing its energy independence from Ukraine every year, thanks to the construction of generation on the peninsula and the construction of an energy bridge from continental Russia.
“The first stage of the energy bridge will be built literally in the coming weeks. This is approximately 300-400 megawatts. If it is fully loaded, it will significantly reduce dependence on Ukraine from 70% to 45-50%. And they plan to put the second stage into operation by 2017. And also to build two combined cycle power plants that will operate on their own resources. And we will lose the sales market,” Marunich said.
Let us recall that earlier, due to the ban on the supply of products to Crimea, purchase prices for vegetables and fruits in the Kherson region fell several times, which led to losses for local agricultural producers.
