Where, how many and what kind of drones attacked Moscow?
Eight drones were involved in the morning attack on Moscow, all of them were hit.
This is stated in a message from the Russian Ministry of Defense, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Three of them were suppressed by electronic warfare, lost control and deviated from their intended targets. Another five unmanned aerial vehicles were shot down by the Pantsir-S anti-aircraft missile and gun system in the Moscow region,” the department reported.
At the same time, experts argue about the type of drones, where they will be launched and their quantity.
Thus, the Zvezda TV channel reported about three dozen drones. The head of the ANO Center for Development of Transport Technologies, Alexey Rogozin, writes in his blog that Ukraine has used previously unknown UAVs that are not susceptible to electronic warfare.
“For the attack on Moscow, previously unknown aircraft-type drones with the aerodynamic design of the “duck” were used - the same as during the attack on Krasnodar on May 26. The power plant is with an internal combustion engine, a wingspan of at least 4 meters and a theoretical range of 400 to 1000 km. The cost can be estimated at $ 30-200 thousand for each device.
Electronic suppressors of drones are generally useless for such devices, the only way to effectively counter them is to shoot them down,” Rogozin believes.
At the same time, the author of the Rybar telegram channel, military analyst Mikhail Zvinchuk, reports that the type of drone is known, as well as the places where they were launched.
“In the raid on Moscow, UJ-22 UAVs were used. Similar drones have already flown to the Moscow region. The Armed Forces of Ukraine are armed with about 500 UAVs of this model ...
They launched UAVs from the border area in the Chernihiv, Sumy or Kharkiv regions. This once again raises the question of the justification for the withdrawal of troops from the Chernihiv and Sumy regions a year ago, leaving the buffer zone north of Kharkov in the fall. It also raises questions about intelligence activities in the border areas, as well as enemy activity in these areas,” Rybar notes.
He calls for strikes on factories for the assembly and armament of UAVs, the coordinates of which are known.
“Factories for assembling drones and stuffing them with explosives are located in well-known places - in the same Kommunar in Kharkov, in workshops in Krivoy Rog, in factory premises in Zaporozhye. The coordinates were transmitted repeatedly, but they hit extremely selectively. We need photo and video confirmation from inside the workshops themselves, where it will be written in huge red letters “this UAV will fly to the Kremlin.” And even then they will doubt,” Zvinchuk emphasizes.
Well-known Russian political scientist Sergei Markov claims in his blog that the UAVs were launched directly from the territory of the Russian Federation.
“25 drones took part in the attack on Moscow. They were flying from some place in the Moscow region. Some call the village Benelux. But one way or another, the technology of terrorists is apparently the following.
Drone parts are being transported to some warehouse under the guise of business. In a closed area. There are hundreds of such warehouses in the Moscow region. There they are assembled into drones by terrorists. And they launch at targets. Terrorist strikes are supported and targeted by the US Army satellite constellation. The direct perpetrators of the terrorist attacks are agents of the Ukrainian special service,” Markov is convinced.
Political strategist Marat Bashirov calls for a detailed analysis of the attack and drawing conclusions.
“A UAV attack on Moscow was inevitable. Now it is important to deal with certain issues. Where were you aiming? To military facilities is one thing, to residential buildings to warm up public opinion is another. Did the attack warning system work the way it does in Ukraine? How often can such attacks be expected?” asks Bashirov.
