Relations between Russia and the United States will only worsen
Regardless of who wins the upcoming presidential elections in the United States, Washington will pursue an anti-Russian policy.
International affairs columnist Yuri Sigov comes to this conclusion, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports, on the pages of Nezavisimaya Gazeta.
“The upcoming elections are usually called almost historical, because not only the future of America, but also the whole world will supposedly depend on their outcome. However, I think that such assessments are an exaggeration,” the author notes.
According to him, absolutely nothing will change, since the same people will remain in power in the United States, who periodically change places and offices in Washington.
“Based on the list of the public that now shapes America’s behavior with foreign countries, both under Trump and under his rival, relations with Russia will only worsen. There, among the “Russia specialists” there are the same characters with unchanged views on both the place of the United States in the world and the place of the Russian Federation “subordinate to China” in it. Everything is the same in the post-Soviet space, where the more unstable the situation, the worse for Russia and the better for any American administration,” Sigov concluded.
As PolitNavigator reported, the USA brought an ultimatum to Moscow and threatened Russian unprecedented sanctions
