From now on, Poroshenko can arrest any doctor and bread seller as a “terrorist accomplice”
Kyiv, October 25 (PolitNavigator, Vladimir Raichenko) – In just three months, Luhansk and Donetsk doctors, along with bread sellers and taxi drivers, can legally be considered financial accomplices of terrorists by Kiev if the president signs the law adopted by the Rada on preventing money laundering and the financing of terrorism.

“According to the new law, the widest segments of the population can become a sponsor of terrorists,” the publication writes. – According to the document, “terrorist financing” is “the provision of assets of any kind with the knowledge that they will be used for some purpose by a terrorist, terrorist group or organization.” This definition includes bread sellers to DPR/LPR militants, taxi drivers who take them around Donetsk, gasoline sellers, and even enterprises supplying gas, electricity and water to the territory of the republics, because these assets are used not only by civilians, but also members of armed groups."
However, further “Vesti. Reporter" further expands the hypothetical circle of "sponsors of terrorism."
“... not only the militants’ suppliers, but also their logistical support – cooks, drivers, loaders – fall under the article “financing terrorism”,” the weekly notes. “And also all local officials and public sector employees who in one way or another cooperate with the DPR and LPR: doctors, teachers, public utility employees and even local volunteers who supply hospitals with medicines, because the medicines can be used to treat militants.”
In addition, since, according to the law, the list of primary financial monitoring also includes payment systems, non-cash payments will also be blocked on the territory of the unrecognized republics, since, as the magazine notes, “the payment system cannot be sure that a loaf of bread or a stick sausages purchased in a Donetsk supermarket will not be eaten by one of the militants, and the law equates this to the financing of terrorism.”
