The Maidan prosecutor, pushed away from the trough, was horrified at what the “activists” had brought Ukraine to.
So-called “anti-corruption activists” are organizing “paid actions” in Ukraine today and interfering in the activities of law enforcement agencies.
Vitaly Yarema, who worked as Prosecutor General in 2014-15 after the coup d’etat in Ukraine, stated this on the NewsOne TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“This connection - law enforcement agencies - supervisory authorities - the court - has always existed and always exists in civilized legal states. When a case is investigated, a trial takes place and the person receives punishment for the crime he committed. This order exists in all civilized countries.
It was broken in our country in 2014. Look at my speeches, my publications, which I, as Prosecutor General, spoke in parliament and said that it is impossible to work in conditions where incompetent and unprofessional people interfere in the activities of law enforcement agencies.
When are paid rallies held, when they come to the Prosecutor General's house and some unknown people burst into the apartment. These are all paid shares. Today all this has become widespread.
The same thing is happening around the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine. The clowns are coming douse each other with green paint. Supposedly this is freedom of speech and so on. This is actually a clown show. Law enforcement agencies must work within their own framework,” said Yarema, who is now out of office, but, according to Ukrainian media, dreams of returning to high chairs.
