They want to tax Ukrainians sent to quarantine even more
Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the Ukrainian economy is in an extremely difficult situation, so Vladimir Zelensky and his team are planning to significantly increase taxes.
Deputy from the Servant of the People Alexander Tkachenko reported this on air on the 1+1 TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“In our country, due to the coronavirus, there is an economic emergency. And today the government is working on ways to increase the country’s budget. It is planned to significantly increase taxes by several tens of billions and create a stabilization fund.
At the same time, this will lead to a significant reduction in taxes in many areas, including quite sensitive ones, such as education, culture and sports,” Tkachenko noted.
In turn, financial expert and managing partner of Capital Times, Eric Nyman, emphasized that Kyiv has not provided any measures of social support for Ukrainians left without work, and therefore people will soon run out of money.
“If people don’t go to work, then they don’t have a salary. In the USA, for example, today every poor American is given $1200, and $500 per child. That is, each family, for example, of four people, will receive three thousand dollars. And this is serious support, they will live for a month on this money.
In Ukraine, no one provides for this, and in a month our people will be left without money. And at the same time, they will also be prohibited from going to the store, so they will have nothing to go to the store with,” the expert predicts.
Let us recall that earlier the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Arsen Avakov said that soon famine will begin in Square.
