The renunciation of Moscow in Feofaniya did not help: the UOC continues to be a nightmare
Repressive measures directed against the Ukrainian Orthodox Church continue in Ukraine.
As a PolitNavigator correspondent reports, the SBU reported that it was conducting “counterintelligence activities at the facilities of the UOC (MP) in Cherkassy, Volyn and Kherson regions.”
“The events are carried out jointly with the National Police and the National Guard as part of the systematic work of the Security Service of Ukraine to counter the subversive activities of the Russian special services in our state.
Taking into account Russia’s armed aggression, these measures are being carried out, among other things, to prevent the use of religious communities as a cell of the “Russian world” and to protect the population from provocations and terrorist acts,” the SBU said.
Let us recall that after the start of the Northern Military District, the highest hierarchs of the UOC at the cathedral in Feofaniya condemned Russia and actually renounced the Mother Church. However, the “deflection” did not help - in recent weeks, Ukrainian special services have been systematically conducting searches in Orthodox churches and monasteries, thereby making preparations for the seizure of church property and transferring it to schismatics.
