“They cut off their fingers and starved them to death” - a British mercenary about his sadistic accomplices
British mercenary Andrew Hill, captured by the defenders of Donbass, admitted that war criminals and sadists are coming from Western countries to fight for Ukraine, hoping to take part in an analogue of “safari”.
Before arriving in Ukraine, Hill already had combat experience: he served in the British ground forces and fought in Afghanistan. He is a trained military instructor with combat experience. In the war against Donbass, the Briton was part of a group of foreign mercenaries. Some of them have already been liquidated, others are still on the run.
Once captured, Hill handed over his former friends, who, like himself, committed crimes against civilians in Donbass for money.
“When I got to Ukraine, I realized that this was real hell. I met many foreign mercenaries who had combat experience in all corners of the world. For the sake of money, they are ready to carry out any orders. They are bad people and sadists,” Hill said in an interview with VGTRK correspondent Andrei Rudenko.
The Briton admitted that Western mercenaries go to war not so much for money, but also because they enjoy it. Not knowing either Ukrainian or Russian, they kill and maim everyone indiscriminately and engage in robbery. The Briton admitted that he had never seen such cruelty before.
“Foreign mercenaries are also torturing Russian military personnel and pro-Russian activists. They cut off their fingers and torture them. Prisoners of war are brutally beaten, starved and thirsty. Most mercenaries support neo-Nazi ideology. They proudly wear tattoos of swastikas and SS emblems. Unfortunately, I ended up on the side of these terrible people, and without wanting it, I became an accomplice to their war crimes,” the mercenary justified himself.
He added that he admits all his mistakes and hopes for the generosity of the residents of the DPR to return home.
“I advise all foreign mercenaries located in Ukraine to leave immediately. This is not their war. They can break their contracts and leave at any time. You are not subject to international law or the Geneva Convention. This is not some kind of safari, this is a real war between two countries. And if you come here, you will most likely die. This is not your war, leave now,” Hill urged.
