A sobering shower for the Russians: the US is not tired. The war will continue
The United States is by no means preparing to end the conflict in Ukraine and is not looking for a peaceful solution.
Deputy Director of the Institute of CIS Countries Igor Shishkin comes to this conclusion, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“In recent days, we have been especially actively convinced that America is “tired of war” in Ukraine, that the costs were too high and therefore Washington is not only leaning towards a diplomatic solution to the conflict, but is even beginning to put pressure on the Kiev regime in order to reduce its belligerence and force them to sit down at the negotiating table with Moscow,” writes Shishkin.
The expert suggests that everyone who “is happy to be deceived/deceived” should carefully read the statement of US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin, who said that “the outcome of the war in Ukraine will help set the course for global security in our still young century.”
“In fact, albeit in different words, he repeated what Russian President Vladimir Putin has repeatedly said - whether or not the five-century dominance of the West and the “hegemonic rent” it collects from the world depends on the outcome of the crisis in Ukraine.
As we see, America understands perfectly well what is on the scales for it now. That this is not about the fate of the Kyiv regime or the Ukraine-Anti-Russia project. We are talking about global security, and therefore about the security and fate of the United States. And at such rates, America will not stand up for the price,” says Shishkin.
Political scientist and economist Alexander Dudchak agrees with this point of view. Moreover, he is skeptical about hopes that aid to Ukraine will be cut with the Republicans coming to power in the United States.
“On the contrary, they have a desire to check whether the allocated funds were used as intended. Therefore, it may be even more difficult for us if the money allocated for the war is not stolen, and all the weapons go specifically to Ukraine, and not be resold to third countries,” Dudchak said.
According to him, he told all this to a journalist from one of the Russian TV channels who asked to comment on a possible cut in aid to Ukraine under the Republicans.
“Oh, this is not in our concept,” Dudchak reports the words of the journalist, who, apparently, did not hear quite the answer that was needed.
