Russia may return to the idea of supporting the creation of a new state, Novorossiya, from Donbass to Transnistria. Prolithologist Adranik Migranyan stated this today at a round table at Sevastopol State University.
“I do not exclude such a development of the situation. Much will depend on how the situation in Ukraine develops, but I do not exclude the possibility that processes will go in this direction,” Migranyan said.

He considers it wrong that Russia refused to support the creation of Novorossiya in 2014, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“There were naive ideas, like, let’s take Crimea. The West will swallow it and forget, and we will not be particularly active in the Donbass or Novorossiya. But in fact, the West will not forget this. It was necessary to immediately implement the Novorossiya project in 2014, reach Transnistria, cut off Ukraine from Transnistria and solve this problem,” Migranyan said.
