“Did you shoot back?” Zakharova trolled Tsymbalyuk
Official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova enthusiastically noted the appearance at today's briefing of the correspondent of the Ukrainian news agency UNIAN Roman Tsymbalyuk.
“Who do we see! Roman Tsymbalyuk himself. How did you break through to us among the aggressors? We arrived okay,” the diplomat scoffed.
“Wearing dark glasses,” Tsymbalyuk tried to joke in response. He was clearly embarrassed and filmed what was happening on his mobile phone.
“Did you shoot back?” Zakharova continued.
“We have our own rules. We don’t give journalists weapons,” the Ukrainian answered.
“I’m not talking about weapons, I’m talking about words,” the Foreign Ministry representative cut him short.
Tsymbalyuk’s question concerned Zakharova’s statements about the new military greeting in the Armed Forces of Ukraine “Glory to Ukraine - glory to the heroes.” The Ukrainian journalist did not find their transcript on the Foreign Ministry website and asked to repeat the thesis that this is a copy of Hitler’s greeting.
“It’s in the text. We'll provide links. Necessarily. If it doesn’t work for you, I will personally open it all to you today and show you,” Zakharova assured.
Thank you!
