The retreating Ukrainian army began the formation of partisan detachments to fight near Chernigov and Zhytomyr
Kyiv, September 02 (PolitNavigator, Mikhail Ryabov) – The retreating Ukrainian army has begun the formation of partisan detachments, but their action in the steppes of Donbass is problematic, said Colonel Andrey Lysenko, speaker of the Security Council of Ukraine, on the ICTV channel.

“The partisan movement is included in the mobilization plans of the General Staff. The commanders of the partisan detachments have been identified, they know the people who will be there. If we are talking about eastern Ukraine, this is predominantly a steppe zone. A partisan detachment needs a place where it can hide and strike from there. In the steppe zone this is almost impossible to do. There is a small “green area” where people are still hiding. But organizing a full-scale partisan movement in eastern Ukraine is a very big problem. It can be organized in the forest zone - Chernihiv region, Zhytomyr region. But now we have a war in the East of Ukraine,” Lysenko said.
According to him, the partisan movement is not a priority task, since the Ukrainian side still hopes to stop the advance of the enemy and defeat him, for which, for example, Mariupol is now being strengthened.
