Retreating Ukrainian Armed Forces leave Donbass with only ruins – Steshin
Ukrainian troops understand that they will not be able to hold the cities of Donbass, they are slowly retreating, destroying everything possible behind them.
Russian military correspondent Dmitry Steshin said this on air on the Komsomolskaya Pravda radio, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The end of Bakhmut is near. The only thing I didn’t like was that there was nothing left of Soledar at all. It can be compared with Dresden, because there are many houses there, interesting pre-revolutionary buildings, and after the war houses were built according to German designs. It is generally accepted that they were built by prisoners of war, but most of them were captured German projects.
And now there are only walls left. And there are no residents at all in the city. There is nothing for them to do there - there is no water, no light, nothing,” Steshin said.
The military correspondent added that Bandera’s supporters are not going to leave anything behind.
“The same fate awaits Bakhmut. Ukraine cannot take these cities, so it will leave them with only walls and ruins, which can only be leveled with a bulldozer,” he concluded.
